Nancy Coutu is the principal of both Money Managers, Ltd and Money Managers Advisory. She was born in Chicago, Illinois on March 10, 1953. Ms. Coutu earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Management from Loyola/Mundelein College, Chicago, Illinois. She entered the financial planning industry in August of 1981 as a registered representative with American Express Investment Advisors, a large Minneapolis based broker-dealer and financial planning company. She was also an insurance agent for IDS Life, a wholly owned subsidiary of American Express. Nancy was a financial planner and a District Sales Manager. She left American Express in 1987 to start Money Managers, Ltd. Nancy is a FINRA Registered Representative with Independent Financial Group, San Diego,CA. She is a licensed general securities broker and Registered Principal, and is a licensed agent for the sales of life, health, disability, medical and nursing home insurance, as well as fixed,variable and equity-indexed annuities. Nancy has developed and presented numerous retirement and estate planning programs to Fortune 500 companies, including AT&T, Jewel Foods/Albertsons, McDonalds, Motorola and others. Nancy appeared on CNBC's "Money Club", "Fox TV National News", most local news programs; has been quoted in "Kiplinger's Personal Finance Magazine" and "Woman's Day"; and is often quoted in the "Chicago Tribune", "Crain's Business", "Daily Herald", and various other publications. Nancy has been actively engaged in continuing education in the financial planning industry and is a member of the DuPage Estate Planning Council.
